The default keyboard and mouse controls are fantastic. I didn't even look at the control mappings and the controls were exactly where I expected them to be, only took 30 seconds to get the hang of really. It's very rare that you find a flying game with GOOD keyboard and mouse controls. Of course using a gamepad is the way to play the game, if you don't have one, you're not missing out much by using keyboard and mouse controls. I was able to get machine gun kills easily enough.

I absolutely LOVE this game! I truly hope it becomes the beautiful swan it was always meant to be, right up there with the big boys (AC)
